The Phelps County Circuit Clerk is a separate court-record contact at 573-458-6210. The clerk can help locate a case, but cannot provide the jail’s physical release log. Likewise, District 11–Rolla Probation and Parole handles active state supervision rather than county booking records.
Money After Phelps County Jail Release
The Phelps County inmate handbook distinguishes ordinary release from transfer through the way an account balance leaves the facility. On ordinary release, the balance becomes a debit card. If release occurs after business hours or on a weekend, the full-balance card is processed at 10 a.m. on the next business day and the former inmate must return to the Sheriff’s Department for it. The handbook warns that the issuing company begins charging when funds remain after 48 hours.
A transfer balance follows by check instead. Money cards and medications are released only to the inmate. These procedures can help explain what type of departure occurred, but they are not a public release list and they do not move a court-ordered release date. Property After Phelps County Jail Release
Personal property is inventoried at booking and stored in the booking property room. An inmate may name another person on an Inmate Property Release form. That recipient must show photo identification to a jail officer, and pickup is not available during visitation, meals, or a security lockdown. Clothing is subject to added restrictions when DOC transport is expected because transport staff decide what can accompany the person.
For transport, the inmate signs a property release and the selected person has seven working days before the property may be donated or destroyed.
